How it works
For the DIY Handbrake box to work you must have a SimRlink Hub connected to the console
When you use your DIY Handbrake box 1 switch is used for the handbrake switch the other switch is used as a mode switch and must be a push button type each time you press the switch it will change the mode
modes
B button on xbox | O button on PS4 and PS5
X button on xbox | Square button on PS4 and PS5
B button switching off and on quickly (used for Forza horzion 4 and 5 only) | O button Switching on/ off quickly mode not needed for PS4/ PS5
What's included
The Diy Handbrake box
USB cable
3.5mm audio cable
2 adapters to make connections for switches
1. with terminal blocks on
2. with header pins
How to connect
You simply wire up 2 switches if you want access to change mode , if you are happy just using the first mode B button for xbox , O button for PS4 / PS5 then just connect 1 switch that you are using for your handbrake
We have used arcade type joystick to show how simple it is to use something like this for a shifter , but you can make it any way you wish all you need is 2 switches the design is up to you
For the joystick when we pull it back it is handbrake and if we push it forward it changes the mode
